WEEK 1: INTRODUCTION
We have discussed the differences between Web 1.0 - Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 & Education 1.0 to Education 3.0
"Web 2.0 is all about giving the power to create content to average people; Mark Zuckerberg is an example."
"Web 3.0 is about linking not only people but also things - anything and everything - to the internet; like working from home and connecting with people."
In Education 1.0, meaning is dictated, teaching is done from teacher to student and schools are located in a building.
In Education 2.0 meaning is socially constructed, teaching is done from teacher to student and from student to teacher (progressivism) and schools may be located in a building but also could be online. (brick and click)
In Education 3.0 meaning is socially constructed and contextually reinvented, teaching can be done in many ways like from teacher to student, student to student, student to teacher etc. (co-constructivism) and schools are everywhere; throughly infused into society.
Technology's role in Education 1.0, Education 2.0 and Education 3.0 are different.
