I would not think of using Soundcloud in education but now that I have considered how it can be used it seems pretty reasonable. It is a free and easy to use tool where you can share audio files with your students.
As it is my field, the main use of Soundcloud that comes to my mind is the language practice purposes. Students and teachers may record their own voices/speeches as an in class activity or an at home assignment. Other students and teachers may view their audios and give them feedback also using audios. It can also be used in activities such as creating a podcast or storytelling or even singing etc.
